In fact, misfan.com has been converted to use MyStarterBlog instead of WordPress. I can import most of WP but I did loose the old URL. In this case, I don't care since MyStarterBlog is meant to be a WordPress alternative for secondary blogs that are less updated like misfan.com. If someone is just starting to blog, it can be use for that too.
In short, your write your posts with MyStarterBlog, generate the blog and upload the files to your domain. You don't need to install MySQL.
This blog will take about 300KB versus 4000KB+ for just installing WordPress. When I will add a new post, I will just upload a few files and not the whole blog again. If you move to a new host, just upload the generated blog again.
The free version support 1 blog and can't import the WP XML file or test files. It has a nofollow link back to MyStarterBlog on each generated posts/pages.

When you activate a comment on a post, you will receive the comment by email. This will reduce spammers since the comments are not shown on the blog. If you like the comment, you can still add in at the end of the post.
Overall, you have something that take less space on your server, reduce the load on the server and faster to load since it's mostly flat files.
